ISO5/class100 Laminar flow bench(cabinet) for Lab/hospital

Clean bench  is a laminar flow work cabinet or alike enclosure that provides filtered air over the work surface to protect against contamination.

There are two airflow patterns :rear to front in horizontal flow models, or top to bottom in vertical flow models. In both models, Contamination air is expelled outside the area and made safe through HEPA air filtration to provide environmental and personal protection.

The clean bench is a work area or work earea ensures that the work surface is constantly flooded with HEPA-filtered air in a laminar flow. Unlike a biological safety cabinet, the clean bench protects the work on the work surface, but not personnel or the surrounding environment from aerosols created on the work surface. The HEPA air filter can trap 99.999% of particles with a diameter greater than 0.3 microns.

The Vertical Laminar Flow benches are manufactured with rear wall perforations to reduce turbulence by removing a small amount of air at the rear of the cabinet.

The Horizontal Laminar flow benches do not directly impinge upon the work surface or encounter turbulence but rather is smoothly drawn across it.

The clean bench ensures that the work surface is constantly flooded with HEPA-filtered air in a laminar flow. It is in a positive environment.

The clean bench protects the work on the work surface, but not personnel or the surrounding environment from aerosols created on the work surface.

The Clean bench do not provide any protection to the worker. They are designed to provide a sterile environment to protect the product. Air potentially contaminated with infectious agents may be blown towards the worker.

Biosafety cabinets protect the product as well as the user and the environment. They operate under negative air pressure , protecting the user from exposure to aerosolized infectious agents. The air sucked into the hood is sterilized by high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration before being exhausted out, thereby protecting the environment.

Biosafety Cabinets are similar to the Laminar Air Flow cabinets. They too contain HEPA filters but there is one dissimilarity that Biosafety Cabinets offers complete protection to the users against harmful pathogens, since the contaminated air is filtered before it can come in contact with the users.

The laminar flow hood is designed to remove corrosive chemical gases and toxic fumes during chemical experiments. The discharge of harmful gases and the use of a laboratory equipment for cleaning and discharging during the experiment. Since the HEPA filter is not equipped, the laminar flow hood can’t effectively remove the microbial medium.
